The North Face x Taylor Design
Once again The North Face get together with Taylor Design to collaborate on a small capsule collection. This seasons collaboration between the two is much more colorful than what we have seen before and we like that. They worked on a couple of technical jackets, t-shirts and some down vests.

Raf Simons x Fred Perry Tonal Loafers
Tapping the services of Raf Simons once again, Fred Perry works up a footwear lineup to compliment their apparel collaborations alongside the Belgian fashion designer. Part of the Spring/Summer 2009 offerings, Fred Perry gives a better look into a loafer silhouette featured in two tonal (red and black) color choices top off with traditional tassel shoe laces. Look for these to release at select Fred Perry retailers soon.

Kidrobot Artist Signing Event in SoHo NYC
While the Comic Con is in New York City, the people at Kidrobot decided to hold a meet and greet with artists that have worked with Kidrobot in the past. The event included appearances’ from Consequence, Sket 1, Pon, Huck Gee and many more. As always Kidrobot attracted a huge crowd that warped around the whole block.

Based on the Chinese Zodiac
Amsterdam Worldwide is a communications agency based in Amsterdam and they have completed a short animation project for Onitsuka Tiger entitled Zodic Race. This short animation is part of a year long ‘Cycle of Life’ campaign to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Onitsuka Tiger. The Zodiac Race ties in with the Onitsuka Tiger’s Chinese Zodiac Collection posted earlier and it explains how the animals came to be in order for the zodiac calender. There is also the making of the short animation which is an interesting behind the scenes look on how involving this project really was.
Peep the symbolism of the characteristic trait of each animal.....CLEVER

Nike Sportswear Air Zoom Toki Lux
Nike Sportswear introduce the Zoom Toki Lux. Taking inspiration from both their Nike Zoom Sabaku and the Nike Blazer models, the Toki reflects another hybrid effort of sorts. The kicks retain distinct characteristics of the Lux series including a basic, wearable color palette built with premium materials. These stylishly sophisticated silhouettes will come in three colorways (Black, Medium Brown, Blur). The first two color tones will be available exclusively at ALIFE (NYC), Bodega (Boston), Darkside (San Francisco), DQM (NYC), Goods (Seattle), HUF (San Francisco), Shoe Gallery (Miami), UNDFTD (LA, Las Vegas, Santa Monica) and both Nike Sportswear stores in LA/NYC while the Blur will only be available through 21 Mercer. A release is scheduled for February 13th, 2009.

Once again the power of the Force and the magic of Disney will combine for four consecutive weekends of out-of-this-galaxy fun as Star Wars Weekends returns for 2009. Nike 6.0 Mavrk + Windrunner by Nigel Sylvester
Nigel was recently blessed with two nice pieces from Nike 6.0 of his very own design. The first is the Nike 6.0 Mavrk Low in a variety of black leathers, gold and a lux quilted purple lining. The second piece is just as amazing, a Nike 6.0 Windrunner in black with a gold Nike 6.0 logo black reflective rain dots on the upper ‘v’ half and a purple and gold drawstring. Unfortunately, these are made exclusively for Nigel Sylvester and his extended friends and family. Thanks very much to Nigel for dropping the two pieces off. Nike: add to your to do list, give Nigel his own shoe!
